NewLife Baptist Church was established by Pastor Ray McCormick in 2015, first meeting in the Grande Innovation Academy. By early 2018, we had outgrown this place and soon moved to the Logos Christian Academy on N. Trekell Road to allow for more growth in ministry.
With a dedicated staff and passionate people like you, we desire to have a deep and lasting impact on Casa Grande. Here at NewLife, our goal is simply to love God and others, learn His Word, and live for His glory.
We believe that the Word of God has the answer to all things which pertain to life and godliness.
First time at NewLife and not sure where to start? Starting Point is a great place to learn about the vision and heartbeat of our church. Let Pastor Ray know if you would like to take the class.
We believe in the power of personal connections. We have geared our Sunday School hour toward making small groups of personal connections with others in the church as we learn and grow together, learning to love and pray for one another in a personal way.
Through clear Bible teaching it is our burning desire is to help teenagers THRIVE in their walk with God, in their relationship with their parents, and in their daily living. Whether its a Sunday morning Bible study or an exciting youth activity we seek to accomplish this goal in everything we do.
Connect and engage with our community through the small group environment. Being part of a lifegroup means that you have a group of people who will be there for you to encourage, challenge, hold you accountable, and help you grow.
Our children and teens represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Awana establishes welcoming, supportive environments where kids learn how a personal relationship with Christ affects their everyday lives and become long-term disciples of Christ.
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, coequal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.
Genesis 1:1, 26, 27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Deut. 6:4; John 14:10, 26
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate.
Isa. 7:14; 9:6; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-2, 14; 2 Cor. 5:19-21; Gal. 4:4-5; Phil. 2:5-8 Acts 2:18-36; Rom. 3:24-25; 1 Pet. 2:24; Eph. 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3-5 Acts 1:9-10; Heb. 9:24; 7:25; Rom. 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.
2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed and, therefore, are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete and divine revelation of God to Man. The Scriptures shall be interpreted according to their normal grammatical-historical meaning. We choose to use the King James Version of the Bible in our teaching and preaching.
2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20,21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God; but that in Adam’s sin death passed upon all men and has alienated men from God. Man is corrupt and, of himself, unable to remedy his lost condition.
Genesis 1:27; Isaiah 53:6a; Isaiah 59:1, 2; Rom. 3:22-23; 5:12; 6:23; Eph. 2:1-3; 4:17-22
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace and is received by biblical repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, trusting in His atoning sacrifice at the cross. There is no other means of being saved; we can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. God desires to let all people everywhere be saved; but since man has the freedom to choose, God saves only those who repent of their sins and trust Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8, 9; John 14:6 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot “lose” it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security. Satan cannot take away your Salvation. He can take away your peace and security.
John 10:29; 2 Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25, 10:10, 14; 1 Peter 1:3-5
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
John 3:16; John 14:17; Romans 6:23; Romans 8: 17-18; Revelation 20:15; 1 Cor. 2:7-9
We believe that God created the universe in six literal, 24-hour periods. We reject evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-Age Theory, and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural theories of origin.
Genesis. 1-2; Exodus 20:11
THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe in that blessed hope, the personal, imminent return of Christ Who will rapture His church prior to the seven-year tribulation period. At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints, to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom which was promised to the nation of Israel.
Ps. 89:3-4; Dan. 2:31-45; Zech. 14:4-11; 1Thess. 1:10, 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; Rev. 3:10; 19:11-16, 20:1-6
We believe that the local church is a group of baptized believers who have voluntarily joined themselves together to carry out the Great Commission. We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures. We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control.
